INDIAN FARMERS WERE HESITANT TO GROW INDIGO BECAUES IT LOSES SOIL FERTILITY AND AS WELL AS IT ALSO MAKE THE SOIL UNFERTILE FOR OTHER CROPS FOR NEXT 50 YEARS.

IT ALSO NEEDED MUCH CARE AND IT WAS NOT TAKEN ON GOOD AMOUNT BY BRITISHERS .

THESE ALL WERE THE REASONS FOR THIS HESISTANCY.
