Answer:

24

Explanation:

Let the number of Rs.5 coins be x.

Amount of Rs.5 coins = 5x

Number of Rs.2 coins = 80 - x

Amount of Rs.2 coins = 2 (80-x) = 160 - 2x

According to Question,

5x + 160 - 2x = 232

3x + 160 = 232

3x = 232 - 160

3x = 72

x = 72 ÷ 3

x = 24

Hence, she has 24 coins of Rs.5

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us take the number of rs 5 coins be =x

And number of rs 2 coins be =y

Now according to the question

X + Y = 80

and. 5x + 2y = 232

Applying elimination method

X+ Y = (80 multiply by 2)

We get

2x +2y = 160( and change its sign)

-2x -2y = -160

We have

5x + 2y = 232

-2x - 2 y= -160

2y gets cancelled

5x - 2x = 232-160

3x = 72

X= 24

Hence the number of rs 5 coins is 24
