Heena has only rs2 and rs 5 coind in her purse. If in all she has 80 coins in her purse amounting to rs 232, find the number of rs 5 coins

Let the number of Rs 5 coin be x.
So, No. of Rs 2 coin = 80-x, as total no. of coins is 80.
Now, As per the question,
5x + 2(80-x) = 232
5x +160-2x = 232
3x = 72
x = 24.
So, No. of Rs 5 coins will be 24.

Let,

> 5 rupee coin= x
> 2 rupee coin= 80-x [total no. of coins is Rs.80]

Equation:-

2(80-x)+5x= 232 [multiply 2*80 & 2*x]
=> 160-2x+5x= 232 [subtract -2x+3x]
=> 160+3x= 232 [shift +160 to the opposite side]
=> 3x= 232-160
=> 3x= 72
=> x= 72/3 [when 3 shifted to opposite side it becomes division]
=> x= 24

Which means 5 rupee coined will be 24 in number.
