so,

→ Total chocolates in each pack = 12 + 18 = 30 chocolates .

then,

→ Total number of chocolates = Total gift packs * Total chocolates in each pack = 8 * 30 = 240 chocolates (Ans.)

Solving with property also :-

→ Total chocolates in each pack = (12 + 18)

then,

→ Total number of chocolates = 8(12 + 18)

using distributive property of multiplication ,

→ Total number of chocolates = 8 * 12 + 8 * 18 = 96 + 144 = 240 chocolates (Ans.)

therefore, heera purchased total 240 chocolates .
