Height of a place A is 1500 m above sea level. Another place B is 700m

below sea level. What is the difference between the levels of these two places?​

Given,

Height of Place A = 1500m above sea level.

Height of Place B = 700m below ses level.

Distance between these places

=(1500+700)m

=2200metres

Hence,2200metres is the distance between these places.

Let the refernce line or the origin be sea level then,

Coordinate of A = (0,1500)

Coordinate of B = (0,-700)

Hence the difference between the two levels of these two places

= 1500 - (-700)

= 1500+700

= 2200m
