Calculation of Volume of Cylinder

Answer: when height of cylinder is twice of its diameter then volume of cylinder = (1/2) π d³  where d is diameter of cylinder.

Explanation:

given that

height of cylinder is twice of its diameter .

Need to find the volume of the cylinder

lets assume diameter of the cylinder = d

so height of the cylinder = twice of diameter = 2 x d = 2d

radius of the cylinder r = diameter / 2   = d/2

volume of cylinder = π r²h = π x (d/2)² x 2d =  ( π x d³ x 2 )/ 4 = π x d³ /2

Volume of cylinder = (1/2) π x d³  where d is diameter of cylinder.

Hence when height of cylinder is twice of its diameter then volume of cylinder = (1/2) π d³  where d is diameter of cylinder.
