Given:

Height of the top of a tower above the water level of a swimming pool is 13.5 m

Depth of the pool = 27/8 m

To find:

The height of the top of the tower from the bottom of the pool i decimals

Solution:

Since the depth of the pool is given as a fraction

So, we will convert the depth of the pool in decimal, ⇒  \frac{27}{8} = 3.375 m

Now, to find the height of the top of the tower from the bottom of the pool, we will have to add the height of the tower and the depth of the pool.

The height of the top of the tower from the bottom of the pool will be,

= [13.5 m] + [3.375 m]

= 16.875 m
