Helen was a strong and determined individual . Through her hard work and unfailing resolve , she learnt how to speak . She overcame the fears of her journey to realise her dream of going to college . She was very active and had the willingness to learn . Her strong will power motivated her to overcome all the negativities . She was an avid reader. Even though she lacked the sense of sight , she could appreciate the beauty of nature and works of art.

Helen although being blind and deaf tackled all her situations in life and came out of her dark world. this was also accompanied by her teacher miss Anne Sullivan who was very patient and treated Helen as her child. She helped her to come out of the dark world of sadness and become successful in life
