helen overcame her helplessness by learning from example. she realised that even if physical conditions became barriers in their path of progress then it was with the help of friends that they could soar above such obstacles and sweep the length and breadth of the heavens. she learned from laura bridgman,s case and how dr howe helped the cause of the blind.when words become powerless to describe the desolation of the darkness that comes with the lack of vision,it is important to have a friend who can steer one out of such situations
