We learn quite a many aspects of Helen Keller from the first half of the book. The most noticeable out of them is the aspect that she was a prodigy. Her another outstanding ability was her willingness to learn. She had voracious passion for learning, knowledge and exploration. She liked to touch everything and learn about it. Like Wordsworth, she learnt to find solace in nature and its peaceful serenity. Her power of observation was commendable. How beautifully she has described the details of her observations! Helen's desire to express herself was very strong; she wanted to communicate her thoughts to others. When her teacher, Miss Sullivan arrived in her life, and taught her the secret of language, Helen read so many books. Helen loved almost all her subjects, except one or two.
