Among the elements Helium, carbon and argon ,carbon is the element which is unstable.
Electronic configuration of Helium is 1s^2
Electronic configuration of argon is 1s^2,2s^2,2p^6,3s^2,3p^6
Electronic configuration of carbon is 1s^2,2s^2,2p^2.
1)Helium and Argon are noble gases.
2)Argon obey octet's rule.
3)Where as carbon doesn't obey octet rule and also it has only 2 electrons in the p-shell whereas p shell requires total 6 electrons.
Hence among the elements Helium,Carbon and Argon ,carbon is the element which is unstable.
