  • The SI unit of force is Newton (N). ... Its unit is Pascal (Pa). From equation (1) it is evident that as force increases, pressure also increases and as force decreases pressure also decreases since force is in the numerator. Or pressure is directly proportional to the applied force.

From the above formula we can say that :

  • Area is inversely proportional to pressure.
  • ==> If area increase pressure decrease and If pressure increases area decrease.

  • Force is directly proportional to area.
  • ==> If area increase force also increases and if area decrease than force also decrease.

Thus we can say that force and pressure are connected.
