The pride of my City

I live in one of the most beautiful cities of West Bengal, It is the well planned steel city-Durgapur designed by the great doctor, architect and statesman-Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy .

It is a also known as the Ruhr of India.

I am extremely proud of my city. It is a city whose skyline sports an equal share of the Natural and the Synthetic . Durgapur boasts of a blend of green and concrete. Situated on an undulating terrain, Durgapur looks extremely scenic with its broad paved streets flanked by  shady deciduous trees which blossom all through the year and are the favourite haunt of all kinds of birds.

I am proud of Durgapur for its scenic beauty, its tranquility, its cleanliness, its symbiotic relation between Man and Nature and its helpful and Nature loving people.

Every house in Durgapur has a nice garden. The people are all animal lovers. They not only feed stray animals but ensure that all animals dwell peacefully.

I am proud of my city.
