A drawing pin is pushed against a wooden table with a force of 10 N.Calculate the pressure exerted by the pin at a point on the table,if area of the point is 0.01 mm^2

P=F/A

p =   \frac{10}{0.01 \times  ({ {10}^{ - 3}) }^{2} }  \\  =  \frac{10}{0.01 \times  {10}^{ - 6} }  \\  =  \frac{10}{1 \times  {10}^{ - 8} }  \\  = 10 \times  {10}^{8}  =  {10}^{9}

Hence, pressure will be 10^9 N/m^2
