Step-by-step explanation:

Length of one side of square= perimeter divided by 4

                                               = 100/4

                                               = 25 cm

breadth of rectangle = side of square-2

                                   = 25-2

                                   = 23cm

Length of rectangle = 23cm - 100 cm

                                 =  77cm

Area of rectangle= Length into Breadth

                            =   23 into 77

                            = 1771 sq cm

Given

perimeter of rectangles = perimeter of square = 100cm

Find the side of a square :-

perimeter of the square = 4× side

=> 100 cm = 4× side

=> side = 100/ 4 cm

=> 25 cm

Breadth of a rectangle = ( side of square - 2) cm

= (25-2) cm

= 23 cm

let the length of the rectangle be X

find the length of the rectangle:-

perimeter of rectangles = 2(l+b)

100 = 2( X+23) cm

100/2 = X + 23 cm

50 - 23 cm

27 cm

Find the area of a rectangle :-

Area = length × breadth

Area = (27×23) cm²

Area = 621 cm ²

Hence,

breadth of rectangle = 23 cm

length of the rectangle = 27 cm

Area of the rectangle = 621 cm ²
