1) Mining And Exploration of Natural Resources. When we look at some of the activities that are tantamount to the environment, mining is part of it. In our quest for exploration of nature's gifts to us, we tend to engage in activities that pose a greater threat to the environment.
2) Weaponry. When we look at human inventions, they have prospered the human existence. It has also retrogressed our peaceful living in the world. Atomic weapons have been invented, the majority of them has adverse effects on the environment.
3) Air pollution. When we look at the world we live in today, we are faced with emissions from our industrialized world and automobiles. All these constitute to the reduction of the ozone layer in the atmosphere. These have caused global warming and these have reduced the volume of earth essential components.
4) Deforestation. When we look at our activities in the world today, we have created better living conditions by building amazing houses, cities and have increased our demands for wooden materials and our leisure has also expanded to so many other areas and such has threatened our forests.

We destroy Our Environment in many ways :
1) Everyday more huge industrial plants smoke pour out immense amounts of polluting smoke
2) Many industrial processes have dangerous and poisonous by-products which are often allowed to run into rivers ,making the water deadly to fish,plants, and also humans
3) Billions of motor vehicles emit toxic gases into air ,especially towns and cities
4) The gases from factories and motor vehicles accumulate high up in the atmosphere,forming a'blanket' which is causing global warming and seriouse climate changes.
5) Almost everything we buy comes wrapped in plastic or tins. Where there is no disposal system, this waste material often accumulates in huge stinking heaps, breading rats and diseases
6) Society encourages us to keep buying the new equipments for our homes. The older items are discarded and left on huge garbage dumps
7) As well as the things which are dangerous, our environment creates things which are unpleasant for many people.There is,for example constant noises from cars and machinery e.t.c.
8) There is visual pollution ---unpleasant rights such as huge hoardings, advertisement and industrial equipments.
