The Brain is divided into three parts. They are :

》Fore Brain

Fore Brain : The fore brain is the front part of the brain.

The parts in Fore Brain are :

● Cerebrum

● Diencephalon

CEREBRUM : This controls the thinking memory, reasoning, speech and emotions.
This helps in responding of cold, heat , pain etc.

DIENCEPHALON : Diencephalon is the major part in Brain. It conducts the major functions in Brain. The functions of Diencephalon are :

》 This catches the sensory impulses such as pain, temperature and light.

》 This controls muscular activities.

》 It controls the emotions like anger , it maintains water balance, BP , hunger, sleep etc

》 This controls the Pituitary gland.

MID BRAIN : This is the centre part of brain which relays the sensory impulses from Spinal cord to cortex and vice versa.

CEREBELLUM : This part maintains posture, muscle tone and coordinates voluntary movements.

MEDULLA OBLONGATA : This helps in the functions of Cardiac, respiratory and vasometer activities. This also coordinates reflexes like Swallowing, coughing, vomiting etc...
