Explain the process of digestion in human beings. (Class 10)

The digestion in human being start from bhccal cavity.In mouth salivary amylase is released which masticate the food and make it bolus.then bolus goes to stomach through oesophagus.In stomach hcl and protein digesting enzymes are released which acts upon the food and churn it and convert it into chyme.Hcl kills all the germs present in food.then the food goes to small intestine where the pancreatic juices and intestinal juices are released which act upon the foof making the medium alkaline.The food gets comp,etely digested here.and the villi absorbs it then the waste material goes to large intestine where more absorption take place and finally wate comes out from anus.

DIGESTION PROCESS

The process of digestion begins from the mouth and ends in the small intestine – the large intestines’ main function is to absorb the remaining water from the undigested food and enable bacterial fermentation of materials that can no longer be digested.

The alimentary canal or the gastrointestinal tract is a series of hollow organs and tubes that begins from the mouth cavity and continues into the pharynx, through the stomach, small intestines, large intestines, and finally ending at the anus.
