Once upon a time, there was a peacock that was enjoying the pleasant weather in a forest. Flying happily, he reached across the river.
Suddenly a god like lady emerged from river and asked him to ask for a boon.
The peacock was surprised, he thought of the purpose of blessing. Yet, peacock said he wanted to be an eagle. however Lady wanted him to get converted into human being so he could explain to humans the plight of birds and also teach them good lesson.
But peacock looked up sky and he said he wanted to fly high n high over clouds and his heavy wings stop him to do so. The lady granted his wish halfheartedly. The peacock got transformed to eagle.
As soon he reached good height, he was hit by a bullet and came crashing down to ground, eventually dying unfortunate death.
The lady emerged again, restored life and converted into peacock.
She further asked him to satisfied in life.
The peacock learned the lesson and was received to be back to his former self.
