Distance between Adjacent Crest and trough is called Wave length.

Wave length is represented by λ

λ/2 = 3 km = 3000m
λ = 6000m

Also Given Frequency ( n) = 1/3 cycle /sec = 1/3 Hz .

One cycle per second is called 1 Hertz.

We know that,

Wave velocity ( v ) = n λ.

So,

v = 1/3 * 6000m = 2000m/s

Therefore ,Wave velocity is 2000 m/s
