Distance between crust and adjacent trough will be : lambda/2
So, lambda /2=5m
lambda=10m
wave velocity = lambda × frequency
=10×50
=500m/s.
So, lambda /2=5m
lambda=10m
wave velocity = lambda × frequency
=10×50
=500m/s.

Distance between Adjacent Crest and trough is called Wave length.
Wave length is represented by λ
λ/2 = 5m
λ = 10m
Also Given Frequency ( n) = 50cycle/sec = 50Hz .
1 cycle per second = 1 Hz.
We know that,
Wave velocity ( v ) = n λ.
So,
v = 50 * 10 = 500m/s .
Therefore ,Wave velocity is 500 m/s
