Holi is the festival of colours and fun. Of all festival we celebrate, I like Holi the best. The function is an occasion to become friendly with one another. This is a festival which makes no distinction between the younger and the older, the rich and the poor, the high and the low. Holi equalizes everyone in the spatter of colours. The Holi could be an occasion for an enemy to give up enemity and become friendly with their neighbour.

The celebrations start in the early hours of the morning with the children preparing for buckets of coloured water. They call on their friends of neighbourhood and thoroughly enjoy themselves. They have fun in splashing coloured water on everyone passing by.

Holi is a national festival of India. Being a national festival, it is celebrated all over the country. Children ae crazy to celebrate Holi and the elder also enjoy it.

When winter passes by and the air becomes alive with the promises of spring, there is the advent of Holi. It seems if the colours of the spring are displayed in this festival.
