It all started with the British Empire. British ruled over vast regions of the world and hence the saying, "Sun does not set in the Empire". British are followers of the Christian faith and since they had to go to the Church for their prayers on Sunday with their families, they declared Sunday to be the weekly holiday. And since then, this tradition has been followed even after British declared independence to most of the countries. Moreover, Sunday is not a holiday is all the Arabian countries, where Friday is a holiday. In some parts of China, Saturday is a holiday and not Sunday.

long before there were no holiday on Sunday . Every body went to work on Sundays But the problem was that on Sunday the sun was more hot than any other day so the people of the old decades started to call it sunday and declared it as a holiday in the whole world.
In Sunday ..... sun means the hot sun and day is as usual. so it's a world holiday .
