there will be 4 roots in eqn:-

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Substitute value of (y² + 3y) as any variable (eg. t)
  2. then factorise 1st & 3rd term and simultaneously factorise 2nd and 4th term
  3. after getting the ans by taking common variables or numbers, substitute value of t as (y²+3y)
  4. Then if you still get 2 eqns, which u r unable to solve then u hv to use the determinant formul
  5. at end you wil get 2 +ve & 2 -ve answers
