The number of protons in the nucleus of an atom is called atomic number .
We can determine place of an element in periodic table through atomic number
Atomic number of Hydrogen is 1
He = 2
Isotopes are the sister atoms of the same element with similar chemical properties and different atomic mass .
Isobar is the isotopes of different elements with same atomic mass .
K^40 , Ca^40

Atomic no (Z) - It is defined as number of protons in a nucleus of a element. It is a unique property which helps in determining the place of element in Periodic Table. For example, Sodium (Na) has atomic number 11.
Isotopes - Isotopes are variants of a element which differ in neutron number, following mass number. They have same proton number. For example, Protium, Deuterium and Tritium are isotopes of hydrogen.
Isobars - Isobars are atoms of different element having same atomic mass but different atomic number. For example, Argon and Calcium with atomic number 18 and 20 but with same atomic mass 40 are Isobars.
