A way to solve a linear system algebraically is to use the substitution method. The substitution method functions by substituting the one y-value with the other.

\bold\red{examples-} y=2x+4. 3x+y=9.

Step-by-step explanation:

The substitution method is a type of solving linear equation in 2 variables

for ex_

2a+ 6b=12 (i)

a+ 2b=6 (ii)

then find a and b

Here using substitution

In (ii) a=6-2b

In I) Substituting the value of a by 6-2b we get

2(6-2b) +6b= 12

12- 4b +6b=12

12 +2b=12

2b=0

b= 0

now

take any equation from above

a+2b=6

a+2*0=6

a=6

This

a=6 and b=0
