This barometer has no liquid. It is light and portable and therefore, it can easily be carried from one place to other . It is calibrated to read directly the atmospheric pressure.It needs no prior adjustment like Fortin barometer.

Uses : -

To measure the atmosphere height

As an altimeter to measure the height

For weather forecasting

It is also used for Earth's atmosphere

Description

The aneroid barometer has been a non-liquid barometer that is commonly used by smaller sizes and conveniences in handheld equipment and aircraft altimeters. It comprises a lightweight evacuated capsule, with a wall that fluctuates with air pressure changes. This deflection is mechanically connected to a needle indicator. To calibrate aneroid barometers and verify them, a "mercury barometer" is utilized. For example, calibration may be in terms of ambient pressure or above sea level altitude. In order to establish a kind of aircraft altimeter the definition of altitude above the sea level is used on a barometric basis. The aneroid barometer becomes powered by a metallic cell comprising very little air or a number of such cells. The added air pressure makes the cell's or the cells' sides smaller. One side is attached to the bottom of the instrument whilst also the other half is connected to a spinning pointer via a set of levers and pulls which moves on the instrument's face.
