so, other equal side=13cm

13+13+x=50

50-26=x

x=24

PYTHAGORES THEORM

hypotenuse=13cm

altitudte=x

base=24/2=12

altitude^2=hypotenuse^2-base^2

x^2=13^2-12^2

x^2=169-144

x^2=25

x=5

area of triangle=1/2 x base x height

=1/2 x 24 x 5

=60cm^2
