Given equations are

2x+y=12 ----------(1)

3x-y=13 -----------(2)

multiply EQ (1) with 3 & EQ (2) with 2

then we get following equation

6x+3y=36 ---------(3)

6x-2y=26 ----------(4)

By subtracting EQ (3) - EQ (4)

then we get

5y = 10

so,y=2 ------- (5)

substitute y value in EQ (1) to get x value

2x+y=12

2x+2=12

2x = 10

x = 5

Therefore x=5,y=2
