Here Is Your Answer ✔✔

Given ;- Mass Of Block = 1 kg

weight of an Block = mg = 1 Kg * 10m/s^2

Area= 10*10

= 0.1m *0.1m = 0.01m^2.

Pressure = Thrust/ Area

= 10N / 0.01m^2

= 1000N/m^2

= 1000pa

Hello!

Q:A block weighing 1 kg is in the shape of a cube of length 10 cm. It is kept on a horizontal table. Find the pressure on the portion of the table where the block is kept.

Solution
-------------

Mass(M)=1 kg=1 × 1000 gram =1000 gram

Gravity(G)= 10 m/s^2

Now,

Force=M × G

= 1000 gram × 10 m/s^2

=10000 N

Area of Cube= 6L^2

=6 × 10^2

=6 × 100

=600 cm^2

Again,

Pressure= F / A

=10000 N / 600 cm^2

=16.67 Pascal

Hence, The pressure on the portion of the table where the block is kept is 16.67 Pascal.

Hope It Helps!
