curd and sour substances are mainly acidic in nature and copper and brass are metal
so when acid reacts with metals the form salts and salts are not always edible some are poisoning too so we should take precautions of not storing sour substances in copper or brass vessels

Because curd and sour substances are in acidic in nature. As we know acids attack most of the metals. Hence acidic substances like cute and sour substances are kept in brass and copper vessels they react to form ioxic compounds and make the food stuff unfit for consumption.
