Let height of triangle be 'h'
and the Base of triangle be 'b'
area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × height
2 ( area of triangle) = b × h ...... (1)
the Base and the height are doubled
therfore
Base = 2b
height = 2h
area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × height
area of triangle = 1/2 × 2b × 2h
(area of triangle) = b × 2h
area of triangle = 2 × 2 (area of previous triangle)
area of triangle = 4 ( area of previous triangle)
Ans. area of triangle will increase by 4 times
