Answer:

Explanation:

All those no which are essentially required in order properly to distinguish an electron in an atom ,are called quantam no.

These are 4 types

1 principal quantam no

2Azimuthal quantam no

3 magnetic quantam no

4 spin quantam no

Answer:

the quantum numbers are the sets of special number given from solution of schrodinger wave equation it defines the orbitals(s p d f)

There are 4 quantum numbers

1 MAGNETIC quantum number-The magnetic quantum number distinguishes the orbitals available within a subshell, and is used to calculate the azimuthal component of the orientation of orbital in space.

2- AZIMUTHAL quantum number The azimuthal quantum number is a quantum number for an atomic orbital that determines its orbital angular momentum and describes the shape of the orbital.

3 PRINCIPAL quantum number it tells the type of orbit in which electron is revolving it is the most important quantum number

4 SPIN (not from the equation)- It is the fourth quantum number which tells the spin or the direction in which the electron is moving it has two values 1/2 and -1/2 for clockwise and anti clockwise motion respectively
