Answer:ans:1)The earth is tilted on its axis, because of which very poor sunlight is allowed to reach the north and south poles. When the north pole is tilted towards the sun,it experiences continuous day light for six months. And when the pole is tilted on the other side, it experiences continuous night for six months.

Ans:2)The midday sun can be overhead in Chennai twice a year but not even once in Delhi. This is because Chennai is more closer to the equator than Delhi due to which it receives more amount of sunlight as compared to Delhi.
