(i) Father's hands do :
- Fix moth's wing and make machines
- mend the fuse
- light swim and walls jump
- small animals out of clay
(ii)We usually fix broken stuff. Moth's wig is fixed. This shows the love of father. He fixes our toys and dolls to make us happy. It gives a message to take care of our father well so that nothing happens to him.
(iii) The world goes dark when there is a power cut or when its night. The speaker means when it's night. The father can mend the fuse by fixing/turning on a light.
(iv) The words are used to show the happiness of the author. It tells that the fathers hands can do anything for us. It is very sentimental about a father. It leaves a message to take care of him very well as he do to us. It shows the love of a father and how he does everything for his child.
(v) I think her mother would've died. She meant that she can remember her mothers face when she sees her father. He is just like her mother.
(vi) The poet didn't use any capital letters or any full stops as she didn't want the poem to be a poem. She really wanted to express her feelings in a story manner and not using real English. It shows the concern of her to her father.
(vii) In the poem the father is very kind and gentle with his daughter. He does everything the child wants. He is loving and supportive. His daughter is proud to have such a father. She loves him equally and wants to take care of him.
