⇒ Acc. to Mendelleeff's periodic law the properties of the elements get repeated every after some particular number

⇒ Mendeleeff arranged the elements in the increasing order of atomic weights

⇔ There are 18 vertical columns and 7 horizontal rows in Mendeleeff's periodic table

⇒ Horizontal rows are periods
