t1=x/V1
t2=x/V2
t3=x/V3
So, total time=x/V1+x/V2+x/V3
Hence,
Average speed=Total distance/Total time
=3x/x/V1+x/V2+x/V3
=3/V2V3+V1V3+V1V2/V1V2V3
=3V1V2V3/V1V2+V2V3+V1V3
