Let where x is the first extension

Force=100N/m

M=1kg

Now

F=k×x

100=1×x

100=x

Second

F=k×x

100=2×X

50=X

Answer -

 x_{1} = 0.3m

 x_{2} = 0.2m

Explanation-

from fig.(a),

 t_{2} - 20 = 0 \:  \:  =  =  >  t_{2} = 20n........(i)

from fig.(B),

 t_{1} =  t_{2} + 10.......(ii)

from eq. (i) and (ii)

 t_{1}20 + 10 = 30n

for 1st spring,

30 = 100 \times  x_{1}

 x_{1} = 0.3m

for 2nd spring,

20 = 100 \times  x_{2}

 x_{2} = 0.2m
