Apartheid was a system which was practiced in South Africa,

in which black were discriminated on the basis of their race & skin colour .

This also denied their fundamental rights.

♧They were restricted to live in the areas where whites lived.

♧They could only work in areas of whites if they had permission .

♧They segregated blackes, blacks had to use separate public toilets & they were not even allowed to visit the churches in which white worshipped .

♧Denied the right to vote

♧Blacks were forbidden from using public places or transport which whites used.

ex ) Trains,buses,taxis,hospitals, schools, swimming pools, libraries, film theatres etc.

♧Thus the non-whites where treated as inferiors by the whites.
