hcf * lcm = 1st no.* 2nd no.

16 * 336 / 48 = 112

2nd no.is 112

1. Let the Other Number be : Don't Know

We know that : Product of HCF and LCM of Two Numbers is Equal to the Product of the Two Numbers

⇒ HCF × LCM = Product of Two Numbers

Given : HCF = 16 and LCM = 336 and One of the Number = 48

⇒ (Don't Know) × 48 = 16 × 336

(Don't\;Know) = \frac{336}{3} = 112

⇒ The Other Number is 112

2. Let the Two Digit Number be : TD

Given : The Sum of Two Digits of the Number TD is 7

⇒ T + D = 7

Given : The Product of Two Digits of the Number is 12

⇒ T × D = 12

T = \frac{12}{D}

\bold{Substituting\;[T = \frac{12}{D}]\;in\;T + D = 7\;We\;get\;:}

\implies \frac{12}{D} + D = 7

\implies \frac{12 + D^2}{D} = 7

⇒ D² -7D + 12 = 0

⇒ D² - 4D - 3D + 12 = 0

⇒ D(D - 4) - 3(D - 4) = 0

⇒ (D - 4)(D - 3) = 0

⇒ D = 4 or D = 3

⇒ If D = 4 then T = 3, then the Number will be : 34

Then the Difference of Two Digits : 3 - 4 = -1

⇒ If D = 3 then T = 4, then the Number will be : 43

Then the Difference of Two Digits : 4 - 3 = 1
