i. Copper when kept in open air reacts with Carbondioxide and water to give copper carbonate which has a greenish colour. This is known as corrosin of Copper.

ii. Silver when kept in open air either reacts with oxygen or with sulphur to give silver oxide or silver sulphide. Both the products are black in colour.
