Question:- A field whose length and breadth are 35 m and 30 m respectively. A path 5 m wide constructed all round inside it. Find the area of the path.

length of field = 35m

breadth of the field = 30 m

area of the field = 30 x 35 = 1050 m²

New length = 35 - (5+5) = 25 m

New breadth = 30 - (5+5) =20 m

new area = 20 x 25 = 500 m²

Area of the path = area of bigger field - area of smaller field

area of the path = 1050-500 = 550 m²
