let the time aftr the start that they meet be x seconds
distance travelled by the ball falling from top=
s1=ut+1/2at2
here u is 0
so s1=1/2*10*x*x=5x2
now for the ball thrown up
s2=ut-1/2at2
s2= 50*x-5x2
s1+s2=100
5x2+50x-5x2=100
50x=100
x=2
so ur ans is option b=2s
