I do not think it is right to take law in our hands

EXPLANATION:

  • A judge of the Supreme Court once wrote that experience was the life of the law, not logic. I am not sure that one excludes the other, but I agree that a great deal of good law reflects the collective long-term experience of many people in making a practical attempt to resolve conflicts without the need for everyone to be a law for themselves, as you say.
  • Taking the law into their own hands, "I believe, usually sends the message," unlawfully do something that can only be done by the legal system and its government enforcers. "After all, in someone a power is defined as being proper. If people take the law into their own hands this means that they have to bear the consequences of their actions-often something they are unable to do.
  • We are no different than the person that commits the crime when we take the law into our own hands. By becoming a 'judge', 'jury and executioner', we put ourselves above the rules. There's no point in having them if we can't put our confidence in our own laws. They are no longer a civil society without rules, and we will quickly degenerate into a situation in the Wild West. Those with weapons are going to make the rules.
