1* CRYSTALLINE SOLID

It is a substance whose constituent particles posses regular orderly arrangement . It has sharp melting point and also has characteristics of heat of fusion. It is regarded as true solids. For example, sodium chloride, diamond, etc

2*AMORPHOUS SOLIDS

It is a substance whose constituent particles do not possess regular orderly arrangement. It has low melting point as compared to crystalline solids. It is regarded as super cooled liquids or pseudo solids. For example, plastic, rubber, protein, etc.
