1. Shelley composed 'To a Skylark' in the summer of 1820, when he was living in Livorno, a town on the north-west coast of Italy. It is one of his most accessible and popular poems
2. The Skylark has a short blunt crest on the head, which can be raised and lowered. In flight, the Skylark shows a short tail and short broad wings. The tail and the rear edge of the wings areedged with white, which are visible when the bird is flying away, however, not if it is heading towards the observer.

1 ) The poet ( Christina Rossetti ) saw the skylark when the earth was green and the sky was blue. During one sunny morn she saw and heard the skylark which was hanging between sky and the earth.

2 ) The skylark was flying between the two , between the earth and the sky. It was flying above the corn field during the sunny morn. It was flying very high in the air .
