Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

As the total amount of horse and carriage is Rs. 6250

It is not clear that is the amount of horse is more or less than the carriage so, I have done assuming both less and more.

Here, the horse's amount is 750 more than the carriage.

So, the equation formed is

Let the amount of carriage be X

x+(x+750) = 6250

2x+750 =6250

2x=5500

x=2750

Ans.

Amount of carriage = 2750

Amount of horse = 2750 + 750

= 3500

Now,

Here, the amount of horse is 750 less than the carriage.

So, the equation formed is

Let the amount of carriage be X

x+(x-750) = 6250

2x-750=6250

2x=7000

x=3500

And.

The amount of carriage = 3500

The amount of horse = 3500-750

2750

Hope it helped u.
