THE FUNDAMENTAL POSTULATE OF THEORY OF RELATIVITY IS

▶THE LAWS OF SCIENCE SHOULD BE SAME FOR ALL FREELY MOVING OBSERVERS, NO MATTER WHAT IS THIER SPEED.

THIS WAS TRUE FOR NEWTON'S LAWS LAWS OF MOTION, BUT NOW THE IDEA WAS EXTENDED TO INCLUDE MAXWELL'S THEORY AND THE SPEED OF LIGHT.

ALL OBSERVERS SHOULD MEASURE THE SAME SPEED OF LIGHT, NO MATTER HOW FAST THEY ARE MOVING. THIS SIMPLE IDEA HAS SOME REMARKABLE CONSEQUENCES. PERHAPS THE BEST KNOWN WAS THE EQUVALANCE OF MASS AND ENERGY SUMMED UP IN EINSTEIN'S FAMOUS EQUATION E=MC^2 .

The postulates of theory of relativity :

1. Einstein in 1905, formulated the special theory of relativity on the the postulates.

2. The laws of Physics are same in all inertial frames.

3. The speed of light vacuum is constant & same as observed from all inertial frames. This known as the principle of constant of speed of light.

4. The first postulate implies that not only the laws of mechanics but also that of electrodynamics & optics should be same for all inertial references system.

5. There is no privileged frame like ether or absolute space.
