Ans. Ruskin bond says it must be the land itself that holds me and it means that their land contains the ashes of their grandparents and it is the only strength which can hold them on land.


2.What does Ruskin Bond mean by - For India is more than a land? India is an atmosphere
Ans. As we know India is a diverse country, there are a variety of climates and weather conditions over different areas. there's a variety of soil and a variety of crops grown in different regions of India. different forms of flora and fauna found here which all makes India more than a land a complete atmosphere.


3.What does Ruskin Bond mean by I am as Indian as the postman or paanwala?
Ans. Ruskin Bond feels he is an Indian as a postman or a paanwala because he is acutely attuned with the nature around him. He is sensitive to his atmosphere and that comes out in his writing. It is this terrible beauty of India as well as its serene graces which draws travelers from everywhere. Ruskin Bond feels at home here and that is what constitutes his identity as an Indian.

4.How would you feel if people asked you if you were an Indian – annoyed or flattered?
Ans. I would feel flattered when people ask me if I am an Indian because I love my country and its rich heritage, it’s a vast variety of flora and fauna.

Ans. Ruskin Bond feels that he is an Indian because he loves India and he is acutely attuned with the nature around him. He is sensitive to the environment that comes out in his writing. It is the place where he was born and spent his whole childhood. The diversity in my country, the rich environment with different flowers, the cultures and traditions make me an Indian.
