Not sure if this is correct but i think that this is saying that they are wondering if they mwith make the people sing in the hardest way or in german and will the birds sing along too or are they making them

No The did make to sing even the pigeon but the pigeon won't sing it only makes sound and they did no made the pigeon to sing because it won't sing nice and they only sang
